Clyde Bergemann Power Group strengthens ash handling capabilities by company acquisition

Wesel/Germany, June 2008

With the acquisition of a majority share of 51 per cent in Italian based EP Tech S.r.l., Clyde Bergemann Power Group (CBPG) extends its engineering resources of materials handling solutions for the power market. The 20-strong team of engineers have a broad knowledge in dry bottom ash technology and will support Clyde Bergemann to market their supreme “DRYCON“ technology. EP Tech is well established in the market for ash handling solutions in Italy and in related Mediterranean markets such as Turkey and Northern Africa. The company has a range of own products and solutions and did already work closely with CBPG in various larger materials handling projects. EP Tech will integrate other CBPG products such as air pollution control, boiler efficiency and energy recovery.

The management team of Umberto Scala, Salvatore Allocca, Carlo Portofranco and Vincenzo Particco remains and operates business under the new name Clyde Bergemann EP Tech.
“It is a pleasure to see that we were able to transform this cooperation from a project based level to a Clyde Bergemann Power Group member level,” says Franz Bartels, President & CEO of the Clyde Bergemann Power Group.
