(CBM) was formed in 2001 from the Power Division of Clyde Materials Handling Ltd. as a result of the sale of the Clyde Bergemann Power Group by Clyde Blowers Ltd. to Global Power Solutions Inc. As an intrinsic part of the global Clyde Bergemann Power Group, CBM perform an important role in diversifying the Group’s activities by providing innovative materials handling solutions to the global power industry.
Within the Group, CBM are the headquarters and centre of excellence for the materials handling activities and are considered to be World Leaders in providing High Efficiency Materials Handling Solutions with successful Joint Ventures operating in China, India and South Africa.
By specialising only in the global Power Industry, CBM are able to bring an unparalled combination of many years of handling experience with difficult, abrasive materials, married to in-depth industry knowledge to ensure that our customers enjoy the most effective, efficient and reliable solutions available.
CBM staff have been providing solutions to materials handling problems to the Power Industry for more than 25 years. Since 1974, the Company’s dense-phase pneumatic conveying systems have been installed around the world to handle a wide variety of solid fuels, and the resultant ashes in Industrial Boiler plant and Power Generation Stations, and for the past 6 years, this technology has been supplemented with a range of mechanical bottom ash conveyors and ash storage and discharge technology enabling CBM to become the market leader for ash handling systems.
We have the project management capability to handle full turnkey” projects and have successfully carried out contracts with values in excess of £6,500,000. With our positive approach to forming partnerships with our customers, we are committed to maintaining our position as a leading supplier of materials handling solutions to the Global Power Industry. Our Doncaster, UK headquarters and factory includes machining and assembly workshops for the conveying system components and the Company’s Quality Assurance systems are independently assessed to BS EN ISO 9001, and these are rigorously applied to both our internally manufactured and globally outsourced components. |
